Established in 1995, the Maimonides Interfaith Initiative promotes understanding, cooperation and peace between Jews, Christians and Muslims internationally through art, culture and education.
Inspired by Moses Maimonides, the great Jewish philosopher who lived and wrote at a time of enlightened religious tolerance, we emphasise what the Abrahamic faiths share.
One of the greatest challenges facing the world today is how to effectively promote intercultural and interreligious dialogue between adherents of major world religions in ways that create common ground and recognise differences.
We also help drive the global debate around faith, secularism and pluralism, offering our voice and insights wherever we can.
We are proud of our track record of successful arts, cultural, sporting and academic programmes over the years.
Interfaith Explorers, our current flagship programme is an inspiring, free online resource aimed at 10 and 11 year olds. It helps pupils around the world learn to respect religious and cultural diversity. We are delighted to have the strong support of UNESCO.
The MIF is founded on the belief that the shortest route to the hearts and minds of people from different nations, traditions and backgrounds is through art, culture and education.
We will continue to promote understanding and respect between the faiths with all the resources at our disposal.
